

Bob attended Southern Illinois University where he attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in Radio and Television.
He began his career in broadcasting at CLTV in Oak Brook, Illinois, then went on to WFLD-FOX in Chicago and WFTS-ABC in Tampa, FL, where he produced, reported and anchored his own sports programs.
Bob recently won his 4th Emmy Award as Writer, Producer and Anchor of "Farewell to Texas Stadium". His Three previous Emmy Awards came for his coverage of the Chicago Bulls Championships during his time at CLTV. Bob has also been awarded a 1st place Broadcaster Award by the Texas AP for his Nolan Ryan documentary and has earned Two Best Sportscast Awards.
Bob and his wife have been active in Big Brothers, Big Sisters for more than 6 years. The two have mentored little brother Christian throughout that time. They were honored as "Couple of the Year" by BBBS of North Texas in 2004.
The Irzyks enjoy spending time with their Pomeranians. A little known fact about Bob is that he speaks fluent Polish!
